« DOOR » est une sculpture cinétique inspirée des portes tambours. Je joue sur l’ambiguïté, que cette forme, appartenant à notre champ visuel quotidien, provoque par son infranchissabilité. Elle place le spectateur comme simple regardeur face à cette porte qui ne peut être traversée. Son mouvement inlassable évoque une machine qui ne peut plus répondre à sa fonction première, comme désertée par l’humain. Ruine future fictive, DOOR est une propostion poétique née de la rencontre entre deux mondes et en marquant le point d’équilibre
“DOOR” is a kinetic sculpture inspired by revolving doors. It plays on the ambiguity that this
form, belonging to our daily field of vision, causes by its impassability. It places the spectator
as a simple observer facing this door which cannot be crossed. Its tireless movement evokes
a machine that can no longer fulfill its primary function, as if it were abandoned by humans.
Imagination of future ruin, DOOR is a poetic proposal of the meeting between two worlds, it
marks the point of balance.
